Created with ink on delicate sumi paper, the mark “wild” sits at the centre, not perfectly formed but expressive and fluid. Around it, warm earth tones bloom and fade, like something emerging and dissolving at the same time.
Rather than being framed, the paper is suspended from a natural branch using metal clips. This allows the piece to remain closer to its original state — light, textural, and slightly imperfect, echoing the idea that wildness isn’t something contained, but something that moves and breathes.
The original sumi paper has been carefully mounted onto a secondary sheet for strength and stability, then sealed to ensure the work is archival while still retaining its soft, organic character.
