Stay Wild Original Artwork

€75.00

A quiet deconstruction of a question that lingers:

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?”
— Mary Oliver

This piece is not a direct answer but a response and is part of the series , Somewhere Between Wild & Precious, where I have deconstructed this Mary Oliver quote and responded to it in various ways.

Created with ink on delicate sumi paper, the mark “wild” sits at the centre, not perfectly formed but expressive and fluid. Around it, warm earth tones bloom and fade, like something emerging and dissolving at the same time.

Rather than being framed, the paper is suspended from a natural branch using metal clips. This allows the piece to remain closer to its original state — light, textural, and slightly imperfect, echoing the idea that wildness isn’t something contained, but something that moves and breathes.

The original sumi paper has been carefully mounted onto a secondary sheet for strength and stability, then sealed to ensure the work is archival while still retaining its soft, organic character.

This is a piece for those moments when you need a gentle reminder that you are allowed to take up space,
to move freely,
to remain a little untamed.
