Each month I spend a day observing — weather, light, movement, stillness — from my rural home in Portugal or from nearby landscapes.

A Monthly Dispatch for the Observant Soul
Notes From The Horizon is a monthly mail experience for the creatively minded, for people who keep found feathers in books or notice light moving across a wall. It’s a celebration of seasons, small joys and the handmade.
In a world flooded with digital noise, “Notes From The Horizon” offers something quieter yet feels more alive and I’d love you to become a part of it.

What you will receive:
A small original artwork - a collectable piece of original artwork, a “note from the horizon". Perfect for creating greetings cards, using in journals, gifting or creating a gallery wall feature.
A small act of noticing- a guided activity to help you slow down, pause, notice and interact with the world around you.
A gift from the studio - each month will be different. For example, studio fragments taken from my “notes” which can be used as collage material or journal fodder. Or it could be a seasonal recipe or pressed flower. Sshhh, it’s a surprise :)

My aim is that the overall package will be a sensory experience which will feel like a gift. This isn’t a print club but a textured experience. Think Wabi Sabi, deckled edges and texture.

Each month will be a surprise as how often do you receive a surprise?? I work in abstract to evoke feelings, mostly minimal but sometimes not! The art will be inspired by the day but it isn’t a realistic piece of landscape art, more of a encapsulation of feelings.
Sometimes text may be included to create an affirmation or positive quote linked to the experience.
I am a serial creative working and exploring with different mediums for example, I stitch, dye paper, make botanical inks and eco-print. Gifts will be collected and donated from these explorations :)
For me this in an opportunity to have fun and for you, yes a surprise!

I have chosen to write about a specific day in order to transport you to my location. You will become part of the world around me and experience the nature, the mood & feeling of location and how I am experiencing it. Sometimes, the location will be at my home but other times I will be out in the wilds!
My hope and aim of this project is that each month you can enjoy some moments of calm, to pause and enjoy being whisked away into an environment different from your own.
