Notes From The Horizon is a monthly mail experience for the creatively minded, for people who keep found feathers in books or notice light moving across a wall. It’s a celebration of seasons, small joys and the handmade.

My aim is that the overall package will be a sensory experience which will feel like a gift. This isn’t a print club but a textured experience. Think Wabi Sabi, deckled edges and texture.

Each month will be a surprise as how often do you receive a surprise?? I work in abstract to evoke feelings, mostly minimal but sometimes not! The art will be inspired by the day and often I create with nature itself using natural materials found around me. However, it isn’t a realistic piece of landscape art, more of a encapsulation of feelings.
Sometimes text may be included to create an affirmation or positive quote linked to the experience.
This is an opportunity for me to have fun and for you, yes a surprise!

I have chosen to write about a specific day in order to transport you to my location. You will become part of the world around me and experience the nature, the mood & feeling of location and how I am experiencing it. Sometimes, the location will be at my home but other times I will be out in the wilds!
My hope and aim of this project is that each month you can enjoy some moments of calm, to pause and enjoy being whisked away into an environment different from your own.
