Our Story
Coco is my girl, my light, my fluffy rock. She has spent most of her life by the water until I moved us inland. In truth something I regret. Now her eyes are failing and she is blind but she still knows the smell of the sea.
My dream is to rent a small apartment by the coast somewhere she can sleep in the salty air and to bring us back to our place.
The only thing standing between us and the beach is my very unreliable income as a small creator … so I am making trees.
Each tree is intuitively painted with sumi ink on bamboo paper. Loose, expressive, entirely its own thing. Each commission comes with a handwritten poem and there is the option to add a personal touch of a word or short text written alongside the bark. I believe strength is already inside people, they just need to be reminded. So I create trees that whisper, “you can do this!”
