I create abstract landscapes inspired by wild places, shifting horizons and the power of the ocean. My paintings hold weather, movement and spaciousness, exploring the connection between the landscapes around us and the landscapes within.

I keep returning to the sense that we recognise something of ourselves in nature. A gathering storm, an open horizon or the pull of a tide can give form to feelings we struggle to name. I am drawn to that vast inner terrain where strength, resilience and creativity move freely and instinctively and to how our connection with the natural world can help us find our way back to it. Ultimately I believe we all have a home in nature.

Through layers of paint, ink and expressive marks, I explore these connections. Dense textures meet softer passages; restless lines move through open space. The paintings hold changing states together—turbulence, stillness, vulnerability and strength—allowing room for someone else’s experience to enter.

I hope the work offers a feeling of recognition, alongside the freedom of standing beneath a wide sky. An invitation to reconnect with our own depth, resilience and capacity for possibility, and to remember that the wild is part of who we are.
